The Children’s Science Congress (CSC), initiated in 1993, is a flagship programme of NCSTC, DST, Govt
of India. It is an inclusive programme open to children of the age group of 10-17 years covering all backgrounds
including school going or out of school system, belonging to different geographic locations, language and
cultural regimes across the country. NCSC programme has already covered the topics like Environment,
Nutrition, Clean-up India, Water Resources, Biodiversity, Land Resources, Energy, Weather and Climate
during its journey of more than two decades of great success and also grow up with innovative ideas of child
scientists through their innovative project work on a variety of relevant local issues of focal topics.Students have participated in the National Children’s Science Congress 2023, KVS Regionals. - Rajya Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani(RSBVP)
With a view to encourage, popularize and inculcate scientific temper among the children of the country,
NCERT organizes Rajya Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshani(RSBVP)Jawaharlal Nehru National Science,Mathematics and Environment Exhibition(NNSMEE) for Children every year where children showcase the irtalents in science and mathematics and their applications in different areas related to our everyday life. This exhibition is being organized since 1971. The exhibits for display in this national exhibition are selected atNCERT on the basis ofa notified criterion. The organisation of science, mathematics and environmentexhibitions also provide opportunities to all participating students, teachers to generate scientific, technological and mathematical ideas for addressing various problems of the society and get acquainted with different kind of equipments, devices, techniques etc. This exercise also provides opportunities and enables students to
generate scientific environment. Students have participated in Regionals and Nationals of RSBVP-2023 - Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research_(INSPIRE)
‘Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research’ (INSPIRE) scheme is one of the flagship programmes of
Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The INSPIRE Awards – MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge), being executed by DST with National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), an autonomous body of DST aims to motivate students in the age group of 10-15 years and studying in classes 6 to 10. The objective of the scheme is to target one million original ideas/innovations rooted in science and societal applications to foster a culture of creativity and innovative thinking among school children. Under this scheme, schools can nominate best original ideas/innovations of students every year for INSPIRE Awards. Students from the Vidyalaya has submitted projects for the year 2023 INSPIRE Awards.
